unfortunately there are no legal grounds for the case but the insurance company should have paid. the law should be changed obviously.

at least president Bush tried to do something about it.

Actually, the insurance companies didn't have much to do with this case, and with the way the law is written it's the correct decision, Not right, but law doesn't have to be right. Sorry, I believe Javits was Reublican, but Liberal as a democrat.

It amazes me how much can be put into 540 sq ft apt. And I finally dumped the cell phones that I had been given or got from Company over tha paast 10 years and was freaked by how many there were {14}

Pmama, true to put the blame on the insurance company. But, one needs to put the blame also on congress and the Supreme Court.

Ok so we have as much oil as Saudi. Do you really think that the oil companies are going to lower gas prices if we give them permission to go drill MORE there?

Because they already can drill, it's just a smaller section. Do you just want to turn Alaska into the great American Oil Slick?

THe whole point is- they can get to it if they really wanted to. And does it really do us any good in the long run to continue to use fossil fuels for our energy sources? If we don't do something drastic to get off oil's teat, then what? We just keep on hurting the earth until..what?

I know the fundies don't care, they think that God is going to come raise them all up into the air. BUt for the rest of us who don't believe that, what then?

The Soldiers/Sailors/Marine/Airmans medal is for military folks who have gone to extreme risk to rescue others during peace time, not for mearly rendering aid. That guy I slapped a dressing on and helped stabilize just got a good return on his taxes. I have known two folks in my career that earned the Airmans Medal.

One of them clipped the winch cable of his patrol HMMWV to his second chance belt and went into a gulley during a flash flood to rescue two kids who had been washed away. He saved them both.

The other was at a four way intersection when a carload of gang-bangers jumped the stop sign and rammed a motorcycle cop. While the cop was down the bangers were attempting to remove his sidearm (didn't accomplish it due to a triple retention holster) to finish him off. That's when the person I know dismounted his vehicle and proceded to beat all four of the bangers withing a gnats hair of their lives. And I am not joking on the severity of their injuries as three of them spent almost a month handcuffed to their beds in the hospital before being taken to jail. He then being EMT trained stabilized the downed officer until EMS arrived.

So no, those of you who know my real name do not even think about trying to put me in for anything. I appreciate the gesture but it is not even on par for what these folks did. And truely, my life and his life was never in any mortal danger.

Yes, there were jets in the 40's, I agree. But I'm not sure we saw any of them out here in the sticks in Kansas till late in the 40's.

And yes, we had combines during WWII also. But they weren't self propelled till the mid to late 40's.

Never went on a cattle drive. But did have a motorcycle. A small one that if I got it would up and kept my head down I could get it up to 35 MPH!
